Job description

Marketing Manager Job Summary

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to own and drive the go-to-market strategy and DTC marketing for RxLocal. This is a high-impact, highly visible role at the intersection of patient engagement, pharma brand marketing, RedSail pharmacy customers, and digital health — built for a marketer who thrives in a build-it-from-scratch environment and wants to shape how pharmacy patients discover, adopt, and stay engaged with a platform designed to improve their health.

You will work closely with product management, the pharmacy and pharma sales teams to develop messaging, campaigns, and channel strategies that grow RxLocal's patient user base, drive pharma brand engagement, and position RedSail as the must-have patient engagement partner for pharmaceutical manufacturers and preferred patient engagement app for pharmacies.

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient-Facing DTC Marketing
  • Own and execute DTC marketing strategy for RxLocal — driving patient app awareness, download, activation, and retention across digital and pharmacy-based channels
  • Develop patient acquisition campaigns across paid digital (Meta, Google, programmatic), pharmacy in-store, and CRM/SMS channels
  • Build and optimize omnichannel patient journeys from first touchpoint through refill adherence and long-term engagement
  • Create patient-facing content and creative assets that drive measurable engagement and retention
  • Translate clinical and product capabilities into clear, compelling, consumer-friendly messaging that resonates with patients managing chronic conditions
  • Partner with ad agency on patient ad deployment within RxLocal App
Pharma Brand Positioning & Marketing
  • Develop marketing materials, pitch decks, case studies, and thought leadership content that support the pharma sales and business development team in winning new brand partnerships
  • Build RxLocal's positioning and messaging for pharmaceutical manufacturer audiences — including brand teams, patient services leads, and market access stakeholders
  • Create co-branded marketing programs and campaign assets for pharma advertisers running copay, adherence, or patient support programs through RxLocal
  • Partner with the pharma sales team on account-based marketing (ABM) strategies targeting priority pharma brands, including programmatic advertising and LinkedIn campaigns
Strategy and Analytics
  • Define and track KPIs for all DTC and B2B marketing programs — patient acquisition cost, activation rate, retention, and pharma advertiser pipeline contribution
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify positioning opportunities against comparable patient app and hub vendor platforms
  • Work with the product team to ensure app feature launches are supported by strong go-to-market plans, messaging, and patient-facing content
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance to leadership on a regular cadence, with clear recommendations for optimization
Education/Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
Required Work Experience/Skills
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with meaningful DTC or patient/consumer-facing marketing experience in healthcare, digital health, pharma, or health tech
  • Demonstrated experience building and executing patient acquisition or consumer engagement campaigns across digital channels (paid social, SEM, programmatic, CRM/email/SMS)
  • Strong written and verbal communicator — you write crisp consumer copy and can also build a compelling B2B narrative for a pharma brand audience
  • Experience working with ad agencies
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth product or platform environment — you are comfortable building programs without a large team or established playbook
  • Proficiency with marketing analytics — you are comfortable owning performance metrics, building reports, and making data-driven decisions
  • Energized by the challenge of building an audience and a brand from the ground up — you see a blank canvas as an opportunity, not a problem
  • Ability to hold two audiences in your mind at once: the patient picking up a prescription and the pharma brand manager deciding where to invest their patient engagement budget
  • Care for the patient at the end of the transaction — you see health equity and access as part of the mission, not just the marketing
Preferred Work Experience/Skills
  • Background in pharmacy, pharma brand marketing, patient support programs, hub services, or a patient-facing health app (copay, adherence, or affordability platforms a strong plus)
  • Experience with product marketing — developing positioning, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market plans for new platform features or products
  • Familiarity with pharma regulatory environment for DTC content — understanding of FDA promotional guidelines, HIPAA, and fair balance requirements
  • Experience supporting a B2B sales team with account-based marketing, sales enablement content, and demand generation programs
Discretionary Judgment
  • The Marketing Manager will exercise discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance related to marketing strategy and execution.
Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and General Employment Guidelines
  • Moderate or high levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job
  • Physical Demands: The Marketing Manager may need to sit or stand for extended periods of time and use a computer or other electronic devices for prolonged periods.
  • Working Conditions: The Marketing Manager will work in an office environment, with occasional off-site work as required.
Equipment
  • The Marketing Manager will be required to use a computer, phone, and product marketing software and tools.
  • Must have internet access
Safety to Self and Others
  • The Marketing Manager will work in a safe manner and follow all company policies and procedures related to safety
Working Conditions/Hazards
  • The Marketing Manager may need to work on projects with tight deadlines, which may cause stress.
Compensation & Total Rewards
  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an annual target bonus of 4%. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
  • Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with a 5% company match, a fitness bonus, professional development opportunities, and programs that support overall well-being.

    • Spartanburg, SC
    • Irving, TX
    • Shreveport, LA
    • Oak Brook, IL
    • Cranberry Township, PA
    • Long Island, NY
