The Role
The Technical Producer oversees the technical execution of UFC live events across domestic and international markets, including local-language productions and on-air initiatives. This role owns the technical side of broadcasts, in-venue productions, and worldwide transmissions, while coordinating event logistics and quality control across sub-contracted operations. The Technical Producer also supports live and pre-recorded productions at Meta Apex, UFC's state-of-the-art production and broadcast facility in Las Vegas.
What You'll Do
Live Event & Broadcast Production
  • Oversee creative development and logistics for event-week promotional initiatives, live events, and on-air/live-streaming elements.
  • Provide creative vision and critique to improve production quality and fan experience across broadcasts.
  • Partner with Technical Ops to maintain on-air quality control and drive continuous improvement across future productions.
  • Supervise unilateral broadcasts and transmissions, ensuring sponsored assets execute successfully.
  • Coordinate with touring video, lighting, sound, and comms departments to maintain UFC-owned assets, including repairs and annual system maintenance.
  • Work with post-production teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of event records.

Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination
  • Partner with Sponsorship, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, and domestic/international TV partners on production needs.
  • Identify and secure resources with vendors for production requirements.
  • Work with Operations to coordinate transport of production equipment and facilities for domestic and international events, ensuring efficient load-in, setup, and execution.
  • Maintain a crew evaluation database to inform scheduling, rate negotiations, and performance reviews.

International & Licensee Management
  • Ensure international licensees receive broadcast and technical documentation on time and to the right contacts.
  • Maintain relationships with existing licensees and lead onboarding correspondence for new partners and distribution channels.
  • Coordinate with distribution and content partners to ensure accurate live transmission delivery and file-based deliverables.
  • Liaise with transmission vendor project managers and engineers, keeping them current on event scope, dates, and licensee deliverables to deliver timely transmission plans and budgets.
  • Support international partners' onsite production initiatives and their technical needs during broadcasts.

Meta Apex Facility Operations
  • Schedule control room and studio crews with Production Managers for internal and external productions.
  • Lead a team of engineers to keep the Meta Apex Broadcast Operations Center technically ready for sports, entertainment, and corporate productions.
  • Scope technical and production needs with prospective third-party clients, developing solutions and estimates for formal proposals.
  • Oversee technical operations for third-party events and internal live/studio productions at Meta Apex.
  • Support internal production needs for corporate initiatives such as town halls, press conferences, and company events.

Industry Awareness
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for production enhancements and operational efficiencies.

What You Have
  • Bachelor's degree; coursework in television production or digital media a plus.
  • 4+ years of broadcast remote operations and studio production experience (network level preferred), plus 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience with financial forecasting and budget preparation/management.
  • Working knowledge of production equipment, including video switchers, audio consoles, graphics platforms, replay servers, camera systems, signal transport, and video transmission solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-resolution, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with experience coordinating across departments, vendors, and broadcast partners.
  • Ability to think creatively and stay composed under pressure.
