Title of Position: General Manager 

Job Responsibilities: The General Manager position is responsible for ensuring the overall success of the hotel, meeting and exceeding revenue measures, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This role requires the General Manager to supervise all areas of the hotel while maintaining brand standards and achieving superior levels of quality for all clients. The General Manager must demonstrate a positive, professional, and client-oriented attitude towards the company with coworkers, tenants, clients, and the public and constantly strive for improvements in work processes and results to better meet client's expectations. They will be responsible for coordinating efforts to ensure that our contractual property management obligations are fully met and exceeded on assigned properties. In addition, the General Manager will direct the day-to-day activities of loss prevention, risk management, safety/security, maintenance, sales, marketing, and other operations. They will also develop operating income/expense budgets and capital budgets that reflect the owner's objectives for operating the property, cash flow requirements, and leasing strategy. Overall, the General Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the hotel operates efficiently and effectively while providing guests with exceptional experiences. They will be responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals while also maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.

Qualifications: 

  • The General Manager must manage all department heads and ensure the hotel is operating in compliance with all applicable laws 
  • Strong experience in managing a diverse workforce including both sales and operations as well as strong leadership experience with demonstrated results in successfully coaching and leading sales is required for the General Manager 
  • The General Manager is required to be proficient in using hotel property management systems – i.e. OnQ, FOSSE, WinPM, Opera or Opera Express 
  • The General Manager must have a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and demonstrated knowledge in the areas of financial analysis, financial reporting, business administration, legal, human resources, ethical practices, marketing, business development, revenue management, and sales 
  •  High volume experience of 3-5 years as a General Manager is a must for this position
