Job description

Find your calling at Mercy!Provides screening and diagnostic mammography for interpretation by radiologists. If primary job assignment includes special procedures: assisting the radiologist in the performance of needle localizations and biopsies and provides the patient care essential to radiological procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection. Assists in general radiographic and office duties as needed. If primary job assignment is on the mammography van is able to drive the mobile unit to different sites throughout St. Louis and Franklin Counties.Position Details:

Under the direct supervision of the Mammography Supervisor and Senior Mammographer, performs professional mammography, education and other women's services provided throughout the Breast Imaging department.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology program. Prefer Mammography education of 40 hours mammography training but will train the right candidate.

  • Licensure: ARRT registry within 6 months of hire and Mammography registry will taken at one year after training completion if not Mammography Certified.

  • Experience: Two years experience preferred in Radiology and Mammography

  • Certifications: ARRT Certification required or registry eligible with 6 months of hire. Mammography registry taken after one year of completed training if not already Mammography Certified. Mammography certification required within certain timeframe if certified technologist hired without mammography experience. BLS required.

  • Other: Computer literate. Good communication skills. Work in fast pace environment. Work as a team.
