Job description

A fast-growing heritage-inspired lifestyle company is seeking a Retail Expansion and Store Development Manager as it prepares to enter additional markets. The brand specializes in premium boots, leather accessories, outerwear, hats, and refined casual apparel designed for customers seeking quality and craftsmanship.

Unlike a traditional retail operations position, this role will concentrate on bringing new locations from concept through opening. The Retail Expansion and Store Development Manager will coordinate site readiness, store setup, vendors, timelines, and internal teams to support a disciplined expansion program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate new store development projects from planning through opening.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and opening milestones.
  • Work with contractors, landlords, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Coordinate furniture, fixtures, equipment, and store setup requirements.
  • Support site evaluations and preliminary location planning.
  • Track construction progress and resolve project issues.
  • Develop repeatable processes for future store openings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of retail development, store construction, project management, or related experience.
  • Previous experience supporting multi-location retail expansion preferred.
  • Understanding of store construction and opening processes.
  • Strong project management and vendor coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Experience within specialty, fashion, luxury, or lifestyle retail preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently to current and prospective locations.
