Promotions and Merchandising Manager

VGW is an interactive entertainment company, harnessing technology and creativity to deliver world-class, free-to-play online social games. 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Promotions and Merchandise team in Toronto and are currently seeking a Promotions & Merchandising Manager to join the team

The purpose of this role is to strategically lead, enhance and refine both the merchandise and account-managed player promotion functions across the business. This involves developing the merchandise strategy, planning with operational efficiency and simultaneously owning the VGW account-managed player promotion experience. 

The salary range for this role is CAD 113,000 to CAD 126,500 per year

This is an exisiting position within our team.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and oversee the annual promotional calendar, merchandise framework, and VIP event strategy to drive revenue and player lifetime value across all VGW brands.
  • Partner with CRM, Product, Compliance, and Account Management leadership to deliver a seamless, regulatory-compliant player experience that bridges digital gameplay with physical rewards.
  • Optimize segmentation models and reinvestment frameworks for top-tier players, utilizing targeted gifting and exclusive activations to maximize retention and mitigate churn.
  • Lead full-lifecycle merchandise and event operations, including forecasting, procurement, global logistics, venue sourcing, and inventory auditing.
  • Own the annual and quarterly budgets for promotions, merchandise, and events, leveraging A/B testing and data analytics to maximize spend efficiency and ROI.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage third-party vendors and suppliers to ensure strict cost control, premium quality, and maximum impact.
  • Provide vision, mentorship, and clear prioritization to a high-performing Promotions Team, fostering an innovative, inclusive culture with structured professional development.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in curating, planning and executing VIP events and high-value player (HVP) strategies, ideally within the online casino, iGaming or premium hospitality sectors.
  • Expertise in all aspects of the global merchandise function, including corporate buying, international sourcing, product development and promotional execution at scale.
  • Demonstrated experience in team management, budgeting, financial analysis and campaign testing/analysis.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency using various software and technology platforms for gifting management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, leveraging data and insights to make actionable recommendations.
  • Deep psychological/philosophical understanding of the 'gamer' mentality and what drives high-value consumer loyalty.
  • Previous leadership experience is a requirement for this role.

Required to work in the office at least twice a week
