Job description

Aime Leon Dore is seeking a Visual Merchandiser to join the team. This role is responsible for executing and maintaining the brand's visual merchandising standards across the retail environment while delivering an exceptional customer and employee experience. The Visual Merchandiser will play a key role in bringing the ALD brand to life through product presentation, storytelling, seasonal launches, and in-store visual execution, ensuring consistency with the company's creative vision and business objectives. This position partners closely with Store Leadership, Retail, and Creative teams to uphold brand standards, drive product awareness, and support overall store performance.

Duties & Responsibilities 

Visual Merchandising: 

  • Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards and directives in alignment with brand values, product availability, seasonal launches, and marketing initiatives. 
  • Installing and setting up window displays, walkways, counters, and in-store displays, or supervising contractors hired for this purpose.
  • Changing displays to promote new product launches or to reflect festive or seasonal themes.
  • Support Store Leadership in maintaining brand presentation standards, including ensuring team appearance aligns with established brand expectations. 
  • Conduct regular store walkthroughs and communicate any visual merchandising or maintenance concerns to the appropriate partners for resolution. 
  • Partner closely with Marketing and the Head of Brand Retail to execute visual merchandising initiatives that support marketing campaigns, product launches, PR activity, and seasonal storytelling. 
  • Support the implementation of visual merchandising components for special projects, partnerships, collaborations, and pop-up activations while ensuring consistency with brand standards and creative direction. 

Operations

  • Support the development and execution of visual merchandising briefs and presentations in partnership with the Head of Brand Retail and Head of Retail, and assist with retail walkthroughs as needed. 
  • Partner closely with Store Leadership and Retail Operations to ensure visual merchandising standards are effectively executed and maintained within the retail environment.
  • Assist in creating floor plans, layouts, and visual presentations based on direction from the Head of Brand Retail and Head of Retail.
  • Develop a strong understanding of store layouts, customer traffic patterns, product placement opportunities, and high-traffic areas to support merchandising decisions and recommendations.
  • Assist with the execution of visual merchandising projects while adhering to established guidelines and timelines. 
  • Maintain organization and inventory of all visual merchandising assets, props, fixtures, and storage areas.

Concepting / R&D: 

  • Develop visual merchandising concepts, display sketches, presentations, and supporting materials that align with brand standards and business objectives, and assist in the execution of approved initiatives.
  • Conduct retail market visits to identify visual merchandising trends, best practices, and opportunities that may enhance the customer experience and overall store presentation.

Retail Training / Continuous Improvement

  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and serve as a role model for visual merchandising standards, store presentation, and brand representation.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment by partnering with Store Leadership and supporting the overall success of the retail team.
  • Assist with onboarding and training related to visual merchandising standards, product presentation, and store maintenance expectations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of new product deliveries, Vintage, Jewelry, and other key product categories in order to support product storytelling and customer engagement.
  • Support the Assistant Visual Merchandiser by providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and day-to-day partnership as needed.

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of visual merchandising experience, preferably within fashion, luxury, or lifestyle retail.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience and the ability to support a premium retail environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and adapt effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced retail environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for brand presentation and visual storytelling.
  • Schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
