Job description

Job Title: Merchandiser (Waukesha, WI)

Immediate Supervisor: Product Development Manager

Summary: The Merchandiser supports our sales and customer engagement goals through effective product selection, inventory management and in-store presentation. This role is responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time, placing orders, monitoring stock levels, analyzing customer behavior and executing appealing visual displays and promotional strategies. The Merchandiser will play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships and resolving inventory or supply challenges. Success in this position requires up-to-date knowledge of merchandising trends, strong organizational and decision-making skills, and the ability to perform well under pressure while aligning with company objectives. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that store shelves are stocked with the right types of products.
  • Display, arrange and rotate products in store.
  • Maintain store shelves by removing dated or damaged products.
  • Monitor store inventory based on sales and intake.
  • Optimize sales volume and profitability by identifying profitable lines and best sellers.
  • Work and communicate with store personnel and Shullsburg Creamery sales rep.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in retail or merchandising.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Will be required to travel to client locations
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee will be required to operate a computer and keyboard; have visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech; manual dexterity to operate a telephone; lift horizontally and vertically, bend and stoop and lift up to 50 pounds.
