General Summary
The Sales Associate with Keys will assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness. The Sales Associate with Keys is responsible for the overall direction of store associates and coordination of store operations in the absence of the General Manager, Assistant Manager, and Floor Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service:
  • Provide a positive representation of ARG.
  • Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
  • Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when they are finished and when they are leaving the store.
  • Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; collaborate well with customers as well as associates.
  • Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
  • Forward all customer complaints that cannot be resolved to a member of management.
  • Manage customer complaints. Work to resolve issues with the customer and have ARG's best interests taken into consideration.
  • Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
  • Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.

Store Operations
  • Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
  • Collaborate with General Manager, Assistant Manager and Floor Supervisor on all aspects of the store's operations.
  • Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
  • Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise area.
  • Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
  • Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
  • Help ensure successful Loss Prevention, Safety, and Internal Audits.
  • Help Department Specialists with tasks such as price changes and special orders.
  • Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
  • Operate forklift with proper training.
  • Communicate any ARG issue to management for follow up.
  • Communicate all merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas to management.
  • Participate in store meetings.
  • Be professional in appearance and actions.
  • Communicate any merchandising, cost control, or sales idea to the General Manager for follow up.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in store meetings.

Inventory & Merchandising - in the absence of the General Manager, Assistant Manager and Floor Supervisor
  • Help ensure forklift operations and receiving is completed in a safe and efficient way.
  • Ensure receiving; checking in and stocking of merchandise for the store is being done completely.
  • Maintenance of back stock levels.
  • Ensure that cycle counts and negative on hand reports are completed timely and accurately.
  • Ensure accurate merchandise resets throughout the store.
  • Ensure all signage is current in the store.
  • Present a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and promotional and incremental merchandising.

Leadership - in the absence of the General Manager, Assistant Manager and Floor Supervisor
  • Manage all aspects of store operations.
  • Lead by example; be approachable by all associates and customers.
  • Assist in training of all associates.
  • Communicate any merchandising, cost control, or sales idea to the General Manager for follow up.

Minimum Skills, Requirements and Qualifications
