This role partners across Merchandising, Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, and external partners to identify new opportunities, launch innovative programs, and improve customer experiences. The Associate Merchant combines strategic thinking, data-driven decision making, and strong cross-functional collaboration to drive business growth, support key partnerships, and bring new capabilities to market. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and execute complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Our team develops and scales services that support pet parents throughout the pet care journey—from everyday wellness and care needs to personalized experiences and innovative service solutions. Working across a broad network of internal and external partners, we create convenient, affordable, and trusted pet care experiences that deepen customer relationships and drive business growth. What you'll do:
  • Partner across Merchandising, Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, and external organizations to develop and scale services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experiences, drive business growth, and strengthen Walmart's pet ecosystem.
  • Drive execution of cross-functional initiatives by coordinating stakeholders, timelines, and key deliverables.
  • Build and manage relationships with strategic partners, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Analyze business performance and customer insights to develop recommendations and support decision making.
  • Support merchandising processes, business planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
