The Produce team is dedicated to delivering fresh, high-quality produce while helping customers save money daily. The team focuses on offering the right assortment, strong value, exceptional quality, and reliable availability through sustainable supply partnerships. Operating in a fast-paced, complex environment influenced by factors like weather and demand, team members use data and merchant insights to make timely decisions. This Associate Merchant role provides an opportunity to learn merchandising fundamentals, take early ownership, and directly impact store operations nationwide by supporting vendor relationships, category strategy, and supplier management.
What you'll do:
  • Support merchants in supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders for assigned categories.
  • Assist in resolving supplier issues and facilitate the setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels.
  • Own execution of customer communication and education programs in stores, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of product page content, following taxonomy and search query guidelines.
  • Track category financial performance, support forecasting, and contribute to budgeting processes.
  • Develop and implement category features and promotional strategies across channels.
  • Leverage data analysis tools to generate insights and support decision-making.
  • Support item setup, pricing recommendations, and modular assortment execution.
