Position Summary:
The Vice President, Merchandise Strategy leads the development and execution of enterprise merchandising strategies that drive sales growth, profitability, and customer relevance. This role oversees merchandising analytics, pricing, promotions, assortment optimization, space planning, and vendor strategy while serving as a strategic partner to Merchandising leadership. The VP also leads the Merchandise Strategy Center of Excellence, building data-driven capabilities that support informed business decisions and operational excellence.
Here's What You'll Do:
  • Lead enterprise merchandise strategy to improve sales, margin, market share, and customer satisfaction for owned retail portfolio and wholesale independent customers.
  • Direct merchandising analytics and business intelligence activities, supporting category management, performance tracking, and opportunity identification.
  • Oversee retail pricing and promotional strategy, including pricing analytics, elasticity analysis, promotion planning, and performance measurement.
  • Lead retail assortment and space planning strategies to optimize product selection, profitability and store productivity.
  • Manage vendor profitability analytics, negotiation support and cost governance.
  • Partner with Technology and cross-functional teams to enhance merchandising tools, reporting, and automation.
  • Develop high-performing teams and establish scalable processes that support long-term merchandising success.
  • Communicate performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Here's What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, analytics, marketing or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in merchandising, category management, pricing analytics, or retail strategy
  • Demonstrated success leading large teams and enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills
  • Experience leveraging data and insights to drive business performance
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence skills
