Job Overview:

The Maintenance Training Coordinator will be responsible as a liaison for all department training for current members and apprentices. The coordinator will develop training plans, curriculums and in some cases teach classes and coordinate with other plant coordinators to ensure all training requirements are met for the department.  

Responsibilities:

Identify training needs in collaboration with plant management and provide possible training solutions

Act as an administrator in SABA and manage relevant learning requests and training documents/records

Work with People Relations to vet external vendors for specific trainings when necessary

Work with People Relations supporting plant tours for potential candidates and apprentices

Handle all training requirements for your team that might affect other areas of the shop (Example, Cell Techs) and coordinate with internal groups on new technologies such as Engineering

Act as or coordinate with your department's subject matter expert to define and create training content

Support Record keeping for all trainings such as certificates (upload to SABA) or store in plant drives for audit purposes.  Ensure training matrix is kept up to date by working with department leaders.

Audit required trainings within the department yearly to ensure they remain accurate and up to date

Coordinate activities, training plans and schedules for apprenticeship and member trainings with other shop coordinators. 

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

       Required High School Diploma or GED experience working in a manufacturing environment and general mechanical/electrical understanding. 

       Indirect relevant experience: working towards a related degree or certification

       Must be a Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech team member with at least 90 days of service and be in good standing to be eligible (no corrective actions or attendance issues above written warning)

Knowledge & Skills:  

       Candidate must have Maintenance knowledge and experience performing repair work including necessary disassembly

       Interact with and support associates within assigned Maintenance areas

       Procurement of operative materials, equipment, and training providers

       All other duties as required to support business needs

       Basic computer skills required
