Responsibilities

The Materials Coordinator provides professional support in the areas of supply processing, distribution, purchasing, receiving and inventory management. The primary objective is to manage and control the flow of supplies and equipment from acquisition to disposition. Responsible for placing material/implant orders, organizing tissue logs, checking expiration dates, restocking supplies, monitoring upcoming surgical cases, communicating with reps, organizing loaner equipment, and assisting colleagues with moving equipment in and out of OR rooms between cases. Performs other activities in support of clinical team members when not engaged in coordinating materials. Assures that department operations adhere to guidelines per the state, accreditation and all other agencies.

QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Two years of experience as a health care materials coordinator preferred2. Skills of planning, organizing and prioritizing3. St. Mary's General Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $25.00 to $34.91. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
