The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns - both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members - with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority.


Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.

Position Summary: The Member Services Assistant provides key administrative support to ensure that member services operations are executed in an efficient and effective manner. This role will directly assist the Managing Director of Member Services by completing key administrative duties for the department. The Member Services Assistant will additionally help with communications to Members of Congress and provide updated departmental materials for relevant events.ย 


This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.


Responsibilities:

  • Administration:
    • Assists in daily operations of the Member call areas
    • Serves as a liaison to Members of Congress and the Committee on behalf of Member Services
    • Assists in updating numerous databases, including regular data entry
    • Assists in updating department resource manuals, materials, supplies, and digital tools
    • Organizes campaign fundraising mail and email communications on behalf of the Member Services Department
    • Maintains log of services provided daily
    • Records Member of Congress attendance during each engagement event as needed
    • Assists in setting up in-person and virtual outreach meetings, including legal compliance briefings and trainings, cybersecurity briefings, and others as determined by the Senior Leadership Team
    • Assists with mailings and phone banks for campaign events including election campaigns
    • Potential for working with other teams at headquarters or in the congressional districts during the election season
  • Member Outreach:
    • Publishes and distributes Member of Congress event fundraising information and weekly events directory
    • Drafts correspondence to Members of Congress regarding the DCCC's campaign contributions, as necessary
    • Assists Managing Director of Member Services with managing and scheduling Member of Congress events
    • Provides individualized trainings and orientations on products, services, and resources
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • ย Previous administrative experience preferred but not required
  • Previous political experience preferred but not required
  • Previous experience managing and scheduling meetings and events
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite products
