Job description

About Mee Memorial Healthcare System: Mee Memorial Healthcare System serves the healthcare needs of South Monterey County, with a longstanding commitment to keeping high-quality, compassionate care available close to home. The Foundation strengthens that mission by connecting community generosity with healthcare priorities that benefit patients, families, employees, and the communities the organization serves.

JOB SUMMARY: The Director of the Mee Memorial Healthcare System Foundation provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the organization's philanthropic program. Working in close partnership with executive leadership and the Foundation Board, the Director builds donor and community relationships, develops fundraising strategies, and secures charitable support for approved healthcare priorities across South Monterey County.
Because this is a part-time leadership role, the Director will focus on the highest-impact activities: major donor cultivation, annual giving, grants and sponsorships, board engagement, donor stewardship, and disciplined Foundation operations. The Director serves as a visible ambassador for Mee Memorial and translates the healthcare system's priorities into clear and compelling opportunities for community investment.

Provide the Board with timely fundraising, financial, donor-engagement, and program reports that support effective governance and decision-making.
Engage board members and volunteers in donor introductions, cultivation, stewardship, community outreach, and fundraising activities.
