Job description

SUMMARY

Covetrus is currently looking for a Warehouse Associate for their Omaha, NE location. This position gathers and processes the product required for filling daily customer orders, ensuring accuracy at all times as well as packing products so they are received in good, useable condition

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Knowledge and understanding of facility SOPs to insure compliance with pharmacy regulations and accreditations standards associated with position within VFC.
  • Inspects pulled products from inventory to check accuracy against the picking ticket, and to determine categories of products (hazardous, refrigerated, etc.).
  • Packs merchandise according to packing and shipping standards and procedures.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Read shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Maintain financial models, templates and databases to support executive decision making.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to guidelines.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for traffic.
  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading & loading trucks.
  • Open crates and other containers.
  • Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
