Position Summary

In this hybrid Medication Technician / Resident Assistant role, you will be responsible for administering medications and assisting residents with activities of daily living. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, you will help ensure residents receive safe, accurate medication administration and compassionate, resident-centered care in a respectful and dignified manner.


Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and facility protocols
  • Document medication administration and promptly report concerns or changes to nursing staff
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, toileting, and feeding
  • Provide emotional support, reassurance, and companionship to residents
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, cognitive, or emotional condition
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment following infection control and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated resident care

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in medication administration (required)
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
