Job description

Job Summary:
Senior Helpers of West Oahu is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, in-home care to seniors who need assistance with daily living activities. Our CNAs help clients maintain independence, dignity, and comfort while remaining safely in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support
  • Help with medication reminders as directed by care plans
  • Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and tidying living areas
  • Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being and report any changes to supervisors
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
  • Follow all company policies and state caregiving regulations

Qualifications:
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Hawaii
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred but not required
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, move, or assist clients up to 50 lbs with proper techniques
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist clients for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in clients' homes with varying environments
