Job description

Our client is looking for Medical Waste Technicians in San Antonio, TX!
This is a 3-month contract opportunity offering a starting pay rate of $18 an hour.
Locations/Schedule:
  • 4502 Medical Dr, San Antonio, TX – 6:30am to 3pm
Job Summary
Support hospital waste operations, including collection, handling, packaging, and transport of medical waste, sharps, and pharmaceutical waste.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and manage medical and sharps waste throughout facility
  • Ensure proper segregation, labeling, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain accurate logs and housekeeping standards
  • Follow all safety procedures (EPA, OSHA, DOT)
  • Wear required PPE
  • Provide strong customer service
Requirements
  • Valid Texas driver’s license (no state ID only)
  • Reliable personal transportation (no rideshare/public transit)
  • Comfortable walking 10–12 miles daily
  • Comfortable working in a medical environment and receiving required vaccinations
  • High School Diploma/GED (Associate’s preferred)
  • Experience with medical waste/sharps preferred
  • 24-hour HAZWOPER preferred
