Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and reliable Ambulatory NEMT Operator to transport patients who walk independently or semi-independently across the Metro Phoenix area. you will operate a company-provided, clean, smoke-free, and climate-controlled vehicle to safely escort patients door-to-door for their scheduled medical appointments. Passengers may require a steady arm or light physical guidance due to age, illness, blindness, or cognitive impairment. No wheelchair lifts or heavy mobility equipment are involved.


CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Passenger Escort — Walk passengers safely from their door to the vehicle and escort them directly into their medical facility, providing a steady arm or guidance as needed.

• Company Vehicle Operation — Drive a company-owned sedan, minivan, or SUV with care and professionalism — maintaining smooth, low-impact acceleration and braking for fragile passengers.

• Vehicle Upkeep — Keep the company vehicle clean, smoke-free, and climate-controlled at all times. Conduct daily pre-trip inspections covering fluids, tire pressure, and interior cleanliness.

• Assistance Devices — Hand-load and unload light portable equipment — folding walkers, canes, or rollators — into the trunk safely and efficiently.

• Punctual Navigation — Utilize GPS to navigate Metro Phoenix’s highway grid, major hospitals, and medical plazas — ensuring timely pick-ups and drop-offs per dispatch schedules.

• Digital Logging — Use a smartphone or tablet to accept trip dispatches, log precise pick-up and drop-off times, and collect required patient confirmations.

• HIPAA Compliance — Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations throughout every trip.
