AMT / ASCP Medical Technologist - Generalist
Permanent Full Time / Competitive Pay / 7-On-7-Off / Night Shift
MLR is currently hiring a Certified Medical Technologist (ASCP or AMT) to join our client's cutting-edge laboratory team near East Bernard, Texas!
Key Responsibilities for Medical Technologist:
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests across areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology with accuracy and precision.
  • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring timely communication of critical data to healthcare providers.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
  • Follow stringent quality control protocols and adhere to regulatory standards to maintain high-quality performance.
  • Accurately document and report test results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS), ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide insights and discuss the clinical relevance of laboratory findings.
  • Stay current with new laboratory techniques and advances in technology through ongoing training and professional development.
Medical Technologist Requirements:
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) through ASCP or AMT.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Eligible for or holding state licensure as a Medical Technologist in Texas.
