Role Description

Your Role:  

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a medical and scientific expert in Dermatology, engaging in highquality scientific exchange with healthcare decisionmakers to share evidencebased data, advance the scientific platform, and collect insights in alignment with LEO's strategic goals and objectives. The MSL is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, institutions, and other stakeholders within the scientific community by providing appropriate, highlevel scientific support across research initiatives, publications, education, consulting engagements, and other Medical Affairs and R&D activities.  

This is a field-based role, covering our Pacific NW Territory. 

Your Responsibilities:  

  • Serve as a fieldbased scientific and clinical resource, functioning as a customerfacing extension of LEO Pharma North America Medical Affairs.  

  • Plan, engage, and build strong working relationships with academic and communitybased KOLs and investigators to support scientific exchange and scientific objectives.  

  • Develop a solid understanding of territoryspecific healthcare systems, clinical practices, patient care pathways, disease management, treatment protocols, and research interests.  

  • Provide educational and technical information, including responding to unsolicited medical and drug information inquiries.  

  • Ensure stakeholders receive accurate and compliant education on disease states, emerging scientific data, population health trends, and patient care challenges.  

  • Provide medical support at advisory boards and document fieldgenerated scientific insights, sharing them with the appropriate internal teams.  

  • Support unsolicited research requests, facilitate communication between investigators and internal stakeholders, and identify potential investigators for LEOsponsored research.  

  • Attend relevant national and local medical congresses to gather insights, strengthen relationships, and maintain competitive intelligence.  

  • Deliver crossfunctional training on scientific and medical topics as requested, including speaker bureau or sales training support.  

  • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in the therapeutic area.  

  • Assist in identifying and developing scientific materials needed to support effective scientific exchange.  

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs colleagues to provide scientific support and communicate scientific insights across the organization.  

  • Work closely and compliantly with crossfunctional fieldbased and Commercial personnel to understand evolving customer needs and provide appropriate scientific support.  

Your Qualifications:  

  • Terminal degree preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP); other degree considered with strong relevant clinical experience (e.g., PA-C, or equivalent).  

  • Prior experience in Field Medical, Medical Affairs, or Clinical R&D.  

  • Strong knowledge of Dermatology or Immunology and clinical research, clinical practice experience preferred.  

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately ~70% of the time, and must reside within 45 minutes of a major U.S. airport.  

  • Understanding of the current pharmaceutical environment and applicable laws and regulations.  

  • Ability to develop and execute a territory clinical plan, with strong ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build productive professional relationships.  

  • Strong presentation skills and highly adaptive, agile, and able to navigate evolving conditions.  

  • Broad Medical Affairs and industry perspective to support NAMA strategy and proactive in identifying resources and opportunities that align with NAMA goals.

Your New Team:  

You will join a collaborative and solutionsoriented U.S. Field Medical team that partners closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Rare Disease leadership. Together, we elevate contracting excellence, support strategic business decisions, and ensure LEO Pharma operates with integrity, clarity, and efficiency.  

Compensation:   

The base salary range for this position is $185,000 - $215,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
