Workday Report Writer Analyst
Location: Remote/Hybrid
Department: Finance / IT
Industry: Healthcare
Position Summary
The Workday Report Writer / Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing reporting solutions within Workday to support cross-functional departments and business stakeholders. This individual will partner closely with Finance, HR, IT and operational leaders to deliver accurate reporting, dashboards, and analytics while ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, Discovery Boards and calculated fields.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements.
  • Create operational and financial reports supporting General Ledger (GL), month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop custom Workday reports utilizing advanced, matrix and composite reports.
  • Validate report accuracy and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
  • Analyze complex financial data and recommend reporting improvements.
  • Support accounting compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist with Workday upgrades, testing, and report validation.
  • Document report logic and maintain reporting standards.
  • Train end users on Workday reporting functionality.
  • Collaborate with operational areas on system enhancements and integrations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • 3-7+ years of Workday reporting experience
  • Experience supporting Workday Financials
  • Strong understanding of general Ledger (GL), Chart of Accounts, Financial Reporting, GAAP and Month-End Close
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience creating calculated fields and custom reports
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience with Prism, Accounting Center, Adaptive Planning
  • Experience supporting audits
  • Knowledge of healthcare finance and reimbursement reporting
  • Experience integrating Workday with other ERP or BI tools
  • Advanced SQL skills preferred
