Job description

Overview

Reporting to the Senior Director - Biomedical Innovation, this member of the Biomedical Innovation team is responsible for assisting in the product development process from concept to final design review of mechanical components in existing and new AgileMV products.  Ensuring the smooth running of all operations activities in line with ISO 13485, FDA, GMPs, CE mark such as the following tasks; 

Responsibilities
  • Handcrafting and assembly small components, mechanical or otherwise, using a microscope and/or tool. 
  • Participate in the design and development of medical devices. 
  • Design, set up and perform tests to verify the viability and performance of medical devices. 
  • Performs preventative maintenance procedures on laboratory equipment. 
  • Following SOP's, procedures, and ensure standards are met, and productivity goals are achieved. 
  • Collect, analyze, summarize information and write repots. 
  • Develop and refine manufacturing process to achieve satisfactory results in terms of objectives and specifications. 
  • Identify new equipment, design/fabricate tooling/fixture to improve device manufacturability 
  • Train and support operators during manufacturing-related activities 
  • Perform work in accordance with ISO 13485 Quality Management System. 
  • Take responsibility in the team and in the project. 
  • May carry out projects from A to Z with the support of the manager. 
  • To maximize the effectiveness of the position, this job description is subject to change according to a consensus of the 2 parties (AgileMV and the employee). 
Required Qualifications
  • Technical diploma and or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the medical field. 
  • Demonstrate autonomy, creativity and dexterity. 
  • Detail oriented and quality focused. 
  • Knowledge in the field of electronics, machining and instrumentation is an asset. 
  • Advanced English and French level. 
  • Flexible, hardworking and able to work under pressure. 
  • Has an inquiring mind and synthesis
