AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is seeking a dynamic, fellowship-trained Gastrointestinal Medical Oncologist to join our expanding oncology team at AdventHealth Celebration. This position offers the opportunity to be part of one of the largest, most comprehensive cancer programs in the state of Florida, with a strong referral base and a reputation for excellence in patient care, research, and innovation.
Opportunity Highlights:
โ€ข Primary focus on GI malignancies, with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at AdventHealth Orlando, the system's tertiary referral center.
โ€ข Access to our state-of-the-art AdventHealth Cancer Institute, a nationally recognized program providing multidisciplinary care across medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and subspecialty oncology services.
โ€ข Collaborate with a dedicated team of world-class physicians and APPs, along with nurse navigators, social workers, chaplain support, pharmacy, and nutrition services.
โ€ข Will work side by side with internationally recognized leaders in the field.
โ€ข Participation in multidisciplinary clinics, tumor boards (daily), and cutting-edge clinical trials, including Phase I research.
โ€ข Established infusion centers, surgical oncology, GI surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and radiation oncology available onsite.
โ€ข Call responsibilities shared among the group
โ€ข Extensive regional network with 7+ medical oncology sites across Central Florida for collaboration and referral support.
โ€ข AdventHealth was ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the top 50 in the nation for six medical specialties, including Cancer, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, and Neurology & Neurosurgery.
Candidate Requirements:
โ€ข Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology.
โ€ข Fellowship training in Gastrointestinal Oncology is strongly preferred.
โ€ข Interest in program development and contributing to the continued growth of a destination cancer program.
