Job description

Veterinary Receptionist, Client CareLocation: Toronto, ONCompensation: $17.85 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience and skillsEmployment Type: Full-timeRole Type: Existing

At Lawrence Veterinary Clinic, we welcome a Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will help create a welcoming experience for our clients and their pets by delivering exceptional service, compassionate care, and support to both our clients and the hospital team.

What You Will Do
  • Creating a Warm Welcome:Greeting our patients and pet parents with empathy and care, ensuring they feel welcomed, supported, and appreciated from the moment they walk in.

  • Managing Hospital Communication:Serving as our front-line voice by answering multi-line phones and managing client emails.

  • Coordinating Appointments:Proactively booking visits, scheduling follow-ups, and making outbound calls to keep our patient care on track.

  • Handling Financial Transactions:Guiding pet owners through the invoicing and billing process with clarity and compassion, confirming estimates, and processing payments.

  • Maintaining a Comforting Space:Keeping our reception lobby and common areas clean, tidy, and welcoming for both pets and their families.

  • Supporting Our Clinical Team:Assisting our veterinary staff with treatments and tasks while eagerly learning new medical office procedures and veterinary skills.

What You Bring
  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas

  • Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

  • Previous experience in animal clinics or hospitality is welcome.
