Position Summary:

Supports testing of a variety of chemical, biological, or microbiological analyses on products, raw materials, in-process materials, or stability samples in support of the company's quality program. May perform qualitative tests or quantitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from use of standard analytical equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation. Salary range: $18.50 - $20.00 depending on experience.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Capable of accessioning surgical pathology specimens utilizing a Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Properly label specimens components (jars, cassettes, slides, etc.).
• Maintain filing systems to include FFPE tissue blocks, prepared slides, and related documents.
• Enforce proper chemical hygiene practices to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
• Perform chemical hazardous waste disposal in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Comply with quality control policies and SOPs to ensure all aspects of laboratory operation are performed in accordance with accepted standards and applicable laws for clinical laboratories.
• Perform case distribution.
• Perform laboratory duties and other required support functions to support department objectives.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager/director.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• At least one year of experience in a medical setting
• Minimum one year of laboratory experience; customer service, specimen processing
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems and design

Time Commitment:

The role is a full-time onsite responsibility.

Compensation:

Compensation will be market competitive, including salary and benefits. Employee benefits will start on the first of the third month after you commence work.
