Animal Hospital at Hillshore is excited to welcome a Certified Veterinary Technician who is eager to step into a key leadership role as our practice continues to grow. This is a dynamic position for someone who loves guiding others, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to be part of a team that truly cares.

In this role, you’ll help lead our support team, assist in surgery, and elevate patient care and workflow standards. As we grow, you’ll grow with us — with opportunities to influence protocols, mentor developing team members, and contribute to the longterm vision of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, highquality nursing care to all patients
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and medical terminology
  • Prepare and administer medications safely and accurately
  • Perform medical math calculations with precision
  • Safely restrain animals using lowstress handling techniques
  • Perform radiology procedures following proper safety protocols
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgery and dental procedures
  • Administer accurate drug and fluid doses
  • Oversee and schedule veterinary assistants, kennel staff, and student workers
  • Manage medication ordering and inventory
  • Assist with reception when needed to support clinic flow
  • Promote preventative care, nutrition, and hospital policies
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education
  • Maintain vigilance regarding open doors, kennels, and patient safety

Qualifications

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) required
