This is a dynamic position for someone who loves guiding others, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to be part of a team that truly cares.

In this role, you’ll help lead our support team, assist in surgery, and elevate patient care and workflow standards. As we grow, you’ll grow with us — with opportunities to influence protocols, mentor developing team members, and contribute to the longterm vision of our hospital.

  • Safely restrain animals using lowstress handling techniques
  • Perform radiology procedures following proper safety protocols
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgery and dental procedures
  • Administer accurate drug and fluid doses
  • Oversee and schedule veterinary assistants, kennel staff, and student workers
  • Manage medication ordering and inventory
  • Assist with reception when needed to support clinic flow

  • Maintain vigilance regarding open doors, kennels, and patient safety
  • Greet clients and patients proactively, using their names to build rapport
  • Stay current with new technology and maintain required certification or licensure

Qualifications

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) required
  • Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent
  • Leadership or mentorship experience preferred

Necessary Skills & Attributes

  • Strong command of medical terminology
  • Friendly, personable, and professional with clients and patients
  • Calm and poised under pressure
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs
  • Respectful toward clients, team members, and patients (including those deceased)
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Positive attitude that supports a healthy team culture
  • Superior handling skills with both dogs and cats
  • Reliable, proactive, and attentive to detail
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical veterinary care

What We Offer

  • A leadership role with room for growth
  • A supportive, collaborative team
  • Competitive, experiencebased pay
  • A workplace where your ideas and initiative are valued
  • The opportunity to help shape the future of a growing, independently owned clinic

Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: $22 - $32 Hourly
