Job description

(Physician/MD qualifications required) General Practice - The Medical Marijuana program in Florida is in full swing, with over 100,000 patients, and gaining momentum. Our organization has more knowledge than almost all others in the state of Florida. We are not a quick in-quick out. We will be onboard long term. Our group practice which was established in 1990 and is physician owned and operated. We're comprised of a multi-disciplinary staff of clinicians including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, advanced registered nurse practitioners, psychologists, clinical social workers and mental health counselors. Will be doing evaluations for patients seeking Medical Marijuana Treatment. Making a "Recommendation", that the patient could | could not benefit, "in your opinion", by trying Medical Marijuana. Florida set the rules to limit the liability of the doctor by having them make a "recommendation", with the state having "final say", which limits "any" liability even further. We are looking for doctors to issue the proper diagnosis and recommendation for their cannabis needs. We are looking for someone that has good people skills and compassion for patients with medical problems and has a positive attitude toward this industry. The physician reviews patient medical records and conducts physical examinations to evaluate whether a patient suffers from a condition that is treatable with medical marijuana. Inform patients of the risks and benefits associated with medical cannabis use. Determine whether the issuance of a medical marijuana recommendation is appropriate for each patient. Identify and implement best practices within the team to support chronic disease and pain management. Patients treated are those who have been diagnosed with medical conditions such as Cancer, Chronic Disease, MS, Parkinson's, Hepatitis C, Glaucoma, and other conditions that are approved by the state of Florida for the Medical Marijuana Program We are offer competitive salary with much higher earning potential than any location in the area. There is no treating and no prescribing, and this is a non-invasive position. There will be some travel. Offices will include locations in South Florida area. Required Experience: Medical Doctor license with DEA and at least five years of medical practice experience. Preferably a Doctor with a Florida Medical Marijuana License (If you do not have one, we will assist in obtaining one for you) Our company is fully behind our doctors, with staff and administration. We will train all our doctors with marijuana as a medicine. Cases that we have seen already at our offices. Patients testimonials from patients who have never used medical marijuana, and how it is helping with their condition.
