Job description

Hose amp; Rubber Supply is a regional company in the Rocky Mountain West with six store locations over five states. We strive to identify and satisfy our customers' needs with our extensive hose and fitting knowledge, large hydraulic and industrial hose and fittings inventory, and hydraulic CNC tube bender. We pride ourselves on problem solving for our wide variety of customers, whether in the oilfield, construction, medical, manufacturing, military, or government.
As an Industrial Customer Service Rep, you would be responsible for providing customer service at the counter by understanding Hose amp; Rubber's products and applications and building and assembling customer orders at our store in Denver, CO. This is a full-time position with benefits.
The Industrial Customer Service Rep duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Greet and work with customers at the counter to identify and satisfy the customer's needs for a quote/order in a profitable and timely manner.
  • Receive phone calls and emails and work with the sales team and customers to identify and satisfy the customer's needs for quotes/orders in a profitable and timely manner.
  • For items the store does not carry, create a PO and send to vendor/other branch.
  • Prepare, build, and assemble customer orders.
  • Package and ship customer orders per customer requirements.
  • Work with Field Sales Representatives to generate more business by providing referrals and following up for the results.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by updating the system when issues are seen or working with the Warehouse to get issues resolved.
The job requires:
  • Written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on product knowledge

  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs at a time
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment

Level of Education and Work Experience:
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate crimper, forklift, shop machinery, etc.
  • General education degree (GED), H.S. diploma, associate's, or bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of industry specific experience preferred
  • Understanding of Hose and Rubber's product portfolio and their application preferred
Compensation:
  • Hourly + Commission: $22.00 - $37.00+ per hour (base of $22 per hour, plus monthly counter commission and quarterly profit sharing)
  • Schedule: 40+ hours a week; Monday to Friday with scheduled Saturday morning rotation (8 am - noon)
