Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor transportation activity to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance for customer shipments.
  • Track shipments and proactively communicate shipment status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely receipt and processing of carrier documentation, invoices, and related transportation records.
  • Identify transportation service issues and recommend corrective actions to management to improve carrier performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide cross-functional support through collaboration and cross-training with other Logistics Specialists to ensure continuous customer coverage and service.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced transportation and logistics environment.
  • Frequent interaction with customers, carriers, and internal operations teams via phone, email, and transportation management systems.
  • Primarily office-based work requiring extended periods of computer use.
  • Team-oriented environment with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Days and Shift Information

  • Schedule to be determined based on business and customer requirements.
  • May require flexibility to support customer operations during peak periods or coverage needs.
Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of related logistics, transportation, supply chain, or customer service experience.
  • Experience working in a transportation or logistics environment preferred.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Benefits/Perks
