Job description

A hospital in Denver is seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join its inpatient acute care team. This opportunity is ideal for nurses who enjoy caring for a diverse patient population and working collaboratively in a dynamic hospital environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Position Overview

The Med-Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of acute medical and surgical conditions. This role involves patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and coordination with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care throughout hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote patient safety and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices.
• Support a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Canadian citizenship required.
• Canadian Permanent Residents are not eligible for this opportunity.
• Valid Canadian passport required.
• NCLEX passage required.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and clinical assessment skills.
