Job Title: Manager – Accounts Receivable

Location: Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012 (Central office)

Job Type: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Shift: Day Shift

Travel: In‑Office (Remote meetings required)

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree preferred (equivalent experience considered)

Job Overview

Terros Health is a healthcare company focused on whole‑person care, providing primary care and specializing in mental health and substance use treatment. The Manager – Accounts Receivable will oversee the reconciliation of services rendered to ensure accurate and final payment. Responsibilities include resolving outstanding payments, claims denials, under‑paid claims, payer adjudication, and payment appeals, while managing a team dedicated to revenue actualization. The position reports to the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management.

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile services rendered and ensure final accurate payment.
  • Resolve outstanding cash payments, claims denials, under‑paid claims, account balances, incorrect payer adjudication, payment appeals, and grievances.
  • Manage a team of staff dedicated to ensuring optimal and accurate revenue actualization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address denials projects and improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of payment activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, health care management, information systems, or business administration preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a claims or accounts receivable role at a mid‑ to large‑sized health care provider, preference for FQHC, behavioral health, or multi‑specialty providers.
  • Advanced technical Enterprise Practice Management (EPM) skills, including advanced knowledge of health care claims, reporting, systems, tools, files, and protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability, using data and system tools to capture, trend, track, and resolve payment opportunities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronic billing systems, files, tools, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid billing requirements, and common coding practices.
  • Non‑driving position: does not require travel to various Terros Health sites on a regular basis.
  • Must pass background check, TB test, and other pre‑employment screening.
