Vitalant is hiring newly graduated and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our high complexity testing transfusion services laboratory.

Schedule EVE: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (works every 3rd W/E) -

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to:
  • Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.(Ref Lab)
  • Perform production, processing, and labeling of blood components and blood donations (Manu Lab)
  • Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
  • Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
  • Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (must receive MLS certification within 6 months of eligibility)
  • or
  • Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency as MT/MLS
  • State licensure as required by regulations

Medical Lab Scientist I
  • Bachelor's degree in medical Lab Science or MLS certification required.
  • Certification as MLS required within 6 months of employment.
  • Pay: $37.16/hour

Medical Lab Scientist II
  • MLS/BB certification required.
  • 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting required.
  • Pay: $42.73/hour - $44.77/hour
