Job description

Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist
MLR is partnering with a local hospital just outside of Clifton, SC, to recruit a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) for a full-time weekday position. This role is essential in performing diagnostic testing under the supervision of the Clinical Director, ensuring high-quality results and excellent patient care in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Shift: Full-time, weekdays.
  • Perform venipuncture for all patient age groups, ensuring high specimen quality.
  • Conduct accurate testing in assigned departments, troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) for quality control, document corrective actions, and make informed decisions regarding patient results.
  • Participate in competency testing, professional development, and in-service education.
  • Maintain required certifications and actively engage in meetings and educational activities.
  • Effectively utilize the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other computer applications.
Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist Requirements:
  • Registered MLT/MT with valid credentials (ASCP, NCAMLP, AMT, ASMT, or equivalent), or eligibility within six months.
  • Proficiency in operating laboratory instruments and interpreting results.
