Job Description:
Vitalant is hiring newly graduated and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our specialty blood component manufacturing/high complexity testing reference laboratories. Regardless of your experience in this field, we have a position tailored to your skill level.

What to Expect
Compensation Grade: 119 - 120 DOE
Salary Range: 35.39 - 46.80 / hour
Work Shift: Monday - Friday with Rotating Holidays and Weekends
Schedule: 6 am - 2:30 pm
Weekend Shift Differential: 8%

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to
  • Perform production, processing, and labeling of blood components and blood donations.
  • Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
  • Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
  • Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent

  • Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency as MT/MLS
  • CA State licensure as required by regulations

  • 1 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting state Clinical Lab Scientist requirements and certification.
  • Pay: $35.39 / hour

Medical Lab Scientist II
  • MLS/BB certification required.
  • 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting required.
  • Pay: $39.48 - 40.70 / hour

Medical Lab Scientist III
  • SBB certification preferred. MLS/BB certification required.
  • 3 years lab experience with 1-year IRL required.
  • 2 years lead/charge experience required.
  • Pay $45.40/hour - $46.80/hour
