Fonemed Health Clinic is a patient-focused medical clinic committed to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare. We are seeking a highly skilled, energetic and well organized Medical Office Administrator with proven experience in medical administration and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to join our team.
Position Overview
The Office Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic. This individual will support healthcare providers, facilitate patient flow, and maintain accurate medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Role Requirements
  • Manage front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out
  • Facilitate clinic patient flow
  • Escorting patients between reception, waiting and examination areas
  • Clinic room change over, cleaning and processing when required
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments efficiently
  • Maintain and update patient records using EMR systems
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries professionally
  • Process billing, insurance claims, and payments (if applicable)
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all medical information
  • Coordinate referrals, lab requests, and follow-ups
  • Maintain office and clinic supplies and administrative systems
  • Support physicians, nurse practitioners and other clinical staff as needed
  • Other relevant duties as needed

Education, Qualifications and Requirements
  • Medical Office Administration diploma
  • Experience working in a medical office or clinic supporting health care professionals
  • Strong proficiency with EMR system
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (PHIA compliance)
