On behalf of our Pharmaceutical client, Procom is searching for a Lab Assistant 1 for a 6 month contract role with ongoing extensions/conversion to perm. This position is an onsite position at our client's Greensboro, North Carolina office.
Lab Assistant 1 - Job Description:
The Lab Assistant 1 will support the Formulation Development Labs by assisting with day-to-day activities and working closely with Formulation Scientists and Lab Technicians. The role involves preparing small batch size formulations, assessing their physical properties, and ensuring proper data recording and visualization.
Lab Assistant 1 - Responsibilities:
• Assist with day-to-day activities in the Formulation Development Labs
• Work under the guidance of Formulation Scientists and Lab Technician to prepare small batch size formulations and assess their physical properties
• Record all results according to proper data storage guidelines provided and use available tools to visualize results
• Support quality assessment of products related to production or market support
• Help the Lab Technician with maintenance of the labs, focusing on safety
Lab Assistant 1 - Mandatory Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to learn and effectively use new software tools for Electronic Lab Notebook purposes
• Able to calculate recipes for a specified batch size, given composition information in wt% or w/v% and density
• Able to adjust recipe calculations based on specified ingredient purity
