About the Role

Join our team as a Medical Scribe, where you'll be the physician's right hand-capturing every critical detail in real time. What You'll Do
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Assist providers with charting, histories, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Navigate lab reports, imaging studies, and medical records to support the provider's workflow
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and uphold patient confidentiality at all times
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to streamline operations and enhance care delivery

Who You Are
  • Pre-med, pre-PA, nursing, or healthcare student (or graduate) looking for hands-on clinical exposure
  • Detail-oriented and an excellent listener with fast, accurate typing skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-intensity environment, sometimes multitasking during live patient interactions
  • Familiar with medical terminology and EMR systems (experience with [Epic, Cerner, etc.] a plus)

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication skills are required; must be able to effectively communicate thoughts and actions through various forms of communication including verbal, written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal skills and computer literacy
  • Committed individual who can prioritize their workload and manage conflicting demands in order to work efficiently
  • Ability to work with highly confidential patient information
  • Must be able to speak and interpret English fluently to perform documentation effectively
  • Must be able to work at least two 8-hour shifts per week
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to type 40+ words per minute required
  • Ability to hear with or without aides
  • High school graduate or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • Current or previous enrollment in Pre-Medical, Medical, or Nursing school preferred
  • Medical terminology strongly preferred
