Where You'll Spend Time

• Investigating allegations and suspicions of customer fraud activity.
• Reviewing account activity, transaction details, supporting documentation, and fraud indicators.
• Communicating with customers, merchants, and internal partners regarding fraud claims and investigations.
• Researching cases using fraud tools, reporting systems, and available resources.
• Identifying fraud trends, patterns, and opportunities to reduce future risk.
• Collaborating with Fraud Prevention, Compliance, Risk Management, and Operational teams to improve controls and processes.

What You'll Do (Highlights)

• Investigate fraud claims involving customer accounts, transactions, and related activity.
• Analyze documentation and account information to determine appropriate case resolution.
• Evaluate chargeback eligibility and support recovery efforts where appropriate.
• Document investigative findings thoroughly and accurately.
• Identify fraud trends and escalate emerging risks to management.
• Take timely action to help prevent future fraud while minimizing customer impact.
• Support fraud reporting, case management, and departmental initiatives.
• Assist with projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 3 years of fraud investigation experience, preferably within financial services.
• Strong understanding of fraud investigation practices and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to adapt, learn, and support other areas as business needs evolve, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred

• Experience in banking, fintech, financial services, or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of banking systems, fraud detection tools, and case management platforms.
• Experience with fraud reporting, risk mitigation, and customer protection activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
