What You'll Do (Highlights)

  • Investigate fraud claims involving customer accounts, transactions, and related activity.
  • Analyze documentation and account information to determine appropriate case resolution.
  • Evaluate chargeback eligibility and support recovery efforts where appropriate.
  • Document investigative findings thoroughly and accurately.
  • Identify fraud trends and escalate emerging risks to management.
  • Take timely action to help prevent future fraud while minimizing customer impact.
  • Support fraud reporting, case management, and departmental initiatives.
  • Assist with projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of fraud investigation experience, preferably within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of fraud investigation practices and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to adapt, learn, and support other areas as business needs evolve, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred

  • Experience in banking, fintech, financial services, or another regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of banking systems, fraud detection tools, and case management platforms.
  • Experience with fraud reporting, risk mitigation, and customer protection activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
