Overview

Waters Corporation is currently leading a search for a 1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic to join our organization.  This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience with a wide variety of equipment and utility systems.

Responsibilities

This position requires a self-starter who is able to work independently with a wide variety of equipment in an ISO 9000 environment.

In this role, the individual will troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in a highly automated chemical manufacturing environment.  The equipment the candidate will be working on will include:

  • Reactors, Filters and drying ovens.
  • Chillers, air compressors, boilers and pumps
  • HVAC units, cooling towers and heat exchangers
Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma - minimum
  • Technical trade School trade degree is a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in repair and maintenance required
  • Basic pipe fitting experience

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written procedures and documentation
  • Ability to learn new processes
  • Excellent communication skills
