Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Follow departmental and corporate procedures and support the development of new maintenance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards related to maintenance operations.
  • Perform and maintain preventive maintenance programs for facilities and equipment, including documentation and updates.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues, complete repairs, and coordinate with vendors or subcontractors when needed.
  • Support training, vendor management, project coordination, and serve as backup to the Facilities Manager.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or educational equivalent.
  • Accurate with mechanical/electrical mathematical calculations and can read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Certified or demonstrate skill in facility maintenance areas including electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
  • Proficient with personal computer operation.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years hands on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced in dealing with subcontractors.
  • Certified or experienced with the application and installation of PLC units.
  • Must have a response time of 1 hour for on call service.
  • Certified or experienced in performing mechanical and electrical repairs, modifications and fabrications on manufacturing equipment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Heavy lifting and maneuvering of over 100 lbs.
  • Standing, bending, kneeling, sitting, climbing, walking and carrying for extended periods.
  • Precise manipulation of objects using fingers, hands, wrist and shoulders.
  • Working in temperatures ranging from -5 to 115 degrees (F) for extended periods.
  • No vertigo or claustrophobic conditions.
  • Non sensitivity with maintenance cleaning solvents and chemicals.
