The facility is home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and one of the most advanced medical simulation training centers in the world, supporting a large, vibrant, and growing Hospitalist program with comprehensive orientation for both new and experienced providers.
Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - Hospitalist/Emergency
Job Details:
  • Per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner position within an inpatient medicine hospitalist setting
  • Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status
  • Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs including referrals to other health team members or specialists
  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician when needed
  • Flexible full-time day schedule with premium differentials offered
  • No call schedule required
  • Must hold an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License or be eligible
  • Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience in an internal medicine or hospitalist setting required
  • Utilizes EPIC for state-of-the-art clinical and informatics technology to promote improved patient outcomes

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
