Position Summary:
  • Perform mammography, radiography, fluoroscopy, and/or DEXA procedures (based on role) while following established protocols and ensuring proper patient positioning, imaging techniques, and equipment operation.
  • Deliver safe, high-quality patient care by verifying patient identity and exam orders, reviewing medical histories and instructions, assessing patient conditions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
  • Utilize RIS, PACS, and other digital imaging systems to accurately document exams, transmit images, maintain records, and ensure all procedures are properly coded and completed.
  • Maintain compliance with ACR, state, and regulatory standards through quality assurance activities, radiation safety practices (ALARA), equipment proficiency, and accurate documentation.
  • Support efficient clinic operations by coordinating with other modalities, maintaining exam room cleanliness and supply inventory, and providing professional, courteous service to patients, physicians, and colleagues.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Operates equipment efficiently and accurately while communicating with the patients;
  • Gathering patient history; documentation, scheduling follow-up appointments or reminder calls;
  • Ensures operation of equipment, and cleaning of room and equipment
  • AART registry in both radiology and mammography; Current CPR certification
  • Working knowledge of the EHR and PACS system; Knowledgeable and proficient in all mammography procedures
