Medical Imaging Research Manager Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Position Summary

The Imaging Research Assistant supports the Imaging Department in the execution of clinical research activities by collaborating with multidisciplinary research teams and research participants to ensure imaging studies are conducted safely, accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and study protocols. This role provides hands-on operational and research support to the Imaging Department, including assisting with research visits, coordinating study-related imaging activities, interacting directly with research participants, and supporting the appropriate handling and transport of biological specimens. The Imaging Research Assistant plays an integral role in facilitating the successful conduct of imaging research studies and supporting the department’s clinical research operations.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Support participant flow and study visit execution including participant check-in, direct interaction, accompaniment to appointments, and preparation for protocol-required activities.
• Perform delegated protocol-required procedures including vital signs, ECGs, phlebotomy, and related activities in accordance with study protocols.
• Support study operations activities including documentation preparation, procedure coordination, and administrative support functions.
• Assist with data and documentation activities, including source documentation support and timely resolution of assigned operational queries.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, GCP, IRB requirements, protocol requirements, institutional policies, participant confidentiality standards, and human subject protection requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with clinical, imaging, laboratory, and research personnel to support efficient study execution and positive participant experiences.
• Provide operational cross-coverage and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in health sciences, life sciences, healthcare, or related field and 0–2 years of relevant experience in clinical research, healthcare, laboratory, or participant-facing clinical environments; equivalent education and experience combinations may be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to perform protocol-driven activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow SOPs, study protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements in a research environment.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and situational awareness when interacting with research participants and clinical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting clinical research studies, healthcare operations, laboratory activities, or participant-facing clinical roles.
• Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, and Human Subject Protection principles.
• Experience or training in vital signs, ECGs, and/or phlebotomy.
• Current phlebotomy certification and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Experience working with neurodegenerative disease populations or supporting neurodegenerative research studies preferred.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Exposure to ionizing radiation in accordance with study protocols and safety requirements.
• Exposure to biohazardous materials and bodily fluids, including blood, urine, and other biological specimens as required by study protocols.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks associated with participant visits and study activities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift, move, or position up to 50 pounds, including study equipment and materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Intermittent evening and weekend work may be required to support study activities.
