Job Summary

Join a talented group of more than 80 dietitians Morrison Healthcare at the University of Virginia Health System in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. At this level one trauma center, dietitians play an integral role on multidisciplinary teams in many specialty areas, both in the 675 bed inpatient setting, as well as in over 35 outpatient clinics. RDs participate in research and quality improvement projects, host dietetic interns, and are supported in pursuing leadership and community service experiences. Continuing education opportunities are plentiful from within the accomplished nutrition team and from the health system which values ongoing training and education.

This RD will join two experienced metabolic RDs and will be skilled in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients with inborn errors of metabolism from birth through adulthood and will work closely with the genetics medical team regarding intervention, education and follow up of patients. This full-time position will join our inpatient and outpatient pediatric nutrition team, caring for metabolic patients during hospital admission and close outpatient follow up.  This role involves nutrition support. Obtaining CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician), CSP (Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition) or similar certification is strongly recommended within two years of hire.

•    Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
•    Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
•    Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
