As a medical equipment delivery driver, you pick up medical equipment from medical facilities, such as hospitals and pharmacies, and deliver them to a patient’s home or nursing home. Some of the equipment you deliver includes walkers, lift beds, shower seats, dialysis machines, and blood sugar testing strips. Your duties are to arrange pick-up and delivery times with medical facilities and patients, deliver equipment and its instructions to patients, and assist patients with the setup of their equipment, if necessary. Your responsibilities may also include picking up used equipment, cleaning used equipment, troubleshooting equipment issues, and repairing equipment.
