Job description

RN – PCU

Schedule: 12-hour Night Shifts; 1900-0730, 3 shifts per week

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 16 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

  • KS RN or Compact RN License
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience
  • Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing labs
  • Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 experience with pacer wires

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in a critical care or progressive care setting.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing necessary interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  • Participate in codes and emergency interventions as required.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.

Compliance / Notes:

  • Will attend orientation as specified.
  • Bi-weekly pay period.
  • No on-call requirements.
  • Every other weekend required.
