They range from simple items like bandages and thermometers to complex technologies such as pacemakers, MRI machines, and surgical robots. Medical devices play a crucial role in healthcare by improving patient outcomes, supporting medical professionals, and enhancing the quality of life. They are regulated to ensure safety and effectiveness before being approved for use.

What are different types of medical device jobs?

The healthcare industry relies on medical devices to treat and diagnose patients, so many jobs exist around medical devices as a result. A medical device engineer helps design medical devices to particular specifications during the research and design phase. A production specialist manufactures medical devices, while a QA inspector ensures that production adheres to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
